How to Activate your WestJet Credit Card

The WestJet RBC® MasterCard® allows you to earn miles with purchases so that you can enjoy flights to many of your favorite destinations. It comes with a $39 annual fee, but you’ll receive 1% back in WestJet dollars for every qualifying purchase.

This credit card also gives you 1.5% back when you purchase vacation packages or flights using your new account.

If you’re ready to activate your WestJet credit card, then you can do so in one of the following ways.

1. The RBC Mobile App
If you are an RBC mobile app user, then you can activate your new card from the Accounts or Credit Card pages. Choose the Activate Now option, and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. If given a choice for enrolling in Balance Protector Premiere, you have the opportunity to decline.

2. Online Banking
If you can access RBC online banking, then sign in to your account. The new credit card will appear in your Accounts Summary Page. Choosing this option will take you to the Credit Card Account Details page, which provides an activation option. Then follow the prompts until your card is ready to use.

3. The RBC Activation Website
If you don’t have access to the app or online banking, then you can go to the activation website for new cardholders for your WestJet credit card. You will then receive the option to sign up for online access at that time. You don’t need to have an active enrollment in online banking to take advantage of this option. You’ll just need to follow the on-screen prompts until you have successfully completed the process.

4. By Phone
When your preference is to activate your WestJet credit card over the phone, then you can do so by calling 1 (877) 900-5900. If you have a private banking credit card with this branding, then you will need to call 1 (888) 769-2597 instead.

Once your new WestJet credit card from RBC is activated, you’ll want to sign the back of it immediately.

If this card is replacing an older credit card, then you will want to destroy the deactivated one to protect your account information and identity.

You also have the option to potentially activate a closed or canceled credit card from RBC. If you find yourself in that situation, you will need to contact the lender by phone directly. The number for this option is 1 (800) 769-2512.
