How Can I Activate My Macy’s Credit Card?
It is easy to activate your new Macy’s credit card from American Express® if you have online access or a mobile data connection.
You will want to go to the My Macy’s Credit Card website that’s powered by Citibank. Underneath the options to create an online account or sign in to an existing one, there is a place for you to activate your card. Click on the red button to start that process.
You will then need to provide your card number when the next screen appears. Your name as it appears on your new card is also necessary. Then you must provide the security code for your account before adding the last four digits of your Social Security number.
There is an option to add the new credit card to your wallet. If you leave this box checked during the online activation process, then you will have your Star Passes added for easier checkout access in-store or on the Internet.
Click on the red Verify button to complete the process. You will then be able to use your Macy’s credit card for purchases.
What Number is My Security Code?
Macy’s offers its customers access to an American Express card or a store account when applying for credit. The security code location for your activation process is different based on the credit card you receive.
All American Express cards have a four-digit security code that appears on the front of the card. It is printed above the account number in a parallel line across from the chip. It is right below the Macy’s name.
If you receive a Macy’s credit card for retail purposes instead, then there will be a three-digit security code on the back that you must verify.
